In the 19th century, with the Kohler, Fankhauser-Ribet and Vallotton factories, Lausanne played an important role in the development of Swiss chocolate. Today, with its 16 artisan chocolatiers, Lausanne is still at the forefront when it comes to chocolate.

We will talk about the famous chocolate makers who came to train in the Vaud capital and about the people who perfected and passed on their know-how long ago. You will also discover the profile of the today’s artisan chocolatiers in the city of Lausanne.
